High School Sweethearts - Together Forever
These long time loves brought all the emotion to this Temple’s Sugarbush Summer Wedding
Temple’s Sugarbush provides the nicest setting for any season, but roaming these gardens in the summer amongst a flock of butterflies might be my favorite yet.
Made a quick pit stop in the check in on the groom before the ladies arrived. Will was the most relaxed I have ever seen someone on their wedding day. He seemed to have known that this day was coming for so long, and was patiently waiting to see his love.
I need to pause right here and share a little message from this couple:
”We met in highschool. She a ballerina and he a boxer. From two seemingly different worlds, brought inextricably together. From the start we understood each other, promised to be there for each other, to learn, grow and be better together. It was a long road to get here, the challenges were many. Thanks to the support of those who love us, we can be proud of who we are and the relationship we've built together. We invite you to share in our celebration, as we commit ourselves to a future of growth, in love, in family and community, and in happiness.”
She was an absolutely stunning bride, and a pleasure to spend time with. Glamorous and delicate and graceful all wrapped up the kindest soul.
This sweetheart was very emotional before the wedding, and it was my absolute pleasure to help keep her calm. Deep breathes, quiet talks, and crying up got us through getting dressed laughing, until Will’s heartfelt love letter had her crying happy tears again. The love I felt around me this entire day was incredible, I have never been in a room with so many positive, supporting, and genuine women. Alana, you seriously have a beautiful tribe of humans around you and I’m absolutely honored I got to spend time with you all.
The ceremony had ME in tears; they decided on new pursuit together, and had one of the most genuine ceremonies I’ve seen. I have to mention the officiant here, this lady was the sweetest and simply radiated love and faith towards this new couple. Will read the most beautiful vows, this man is a serious poet guys, I’m not even joking, I will never forget this day, and they were finally married after 15 years of love.
In case you didn’t believe me about the beauty and emotion of the day, check out these last few quick snaps of their guests congratulating them… I CAN’T.
Ugly crying will always be the best crying.
Don’t ever be ashamed to show emotion.
It’s stunningly beautiful.
My always favorite part - The Portraits
There’s just something about beautiful portraits on film that can be appreciated by everyone.
Man oh man, they looked good.
Love is Art Darling.
Look at what this man does for her; he did absolutely everything he could to make her heart sing. She was a dancer, and you could 100% tell in their photos. Thank you for making her body and soul dance Will, your love is inspiring.
From here we get into more emotion through speeches, precious moments with family, and an incredible choreographed first dance in a stunning gown fit for a princess.
These guys… what can I say. I just keep going back to it; love is art. Their love had me feeling SO inspired. I am eternally grateful to my beautiful clients who bring love, positivity and encouragement to a craft that is a constant growth. I absolutely adore my job, there is no doubt in my mind that this is my purpose in this world; to create and share love and happiness with incredible souls seems the ultimate goal.
I’m crying happy tears as I write this, and just have to say; thank you. I met this wonderful lady at the Capital Wedding Show last winter and could never have imagined such beauty coming from that interaction. Firstly, thank you for stopping at my booth.
But mainly, thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for laughing at all the squeals of excitement I made on your big day.
Thank you for letting me get weird with double exposures.
Thank you for dancing with me.
Thank you for the love.
