Adventure Engagement Session - Cliff top picnic featuring a foggy storm

I had the most wonderful time with these two. The snow turned to rain and fog and we made the ABSOLUTE best of it. Super thankful for clients who are up for an adventure and approach every situation with optimism. This freezing rain/snow storm didn’t stop us from picnicking on the edge of a cliff <3

They both enjoy the outdoors and spent their first date on an extensive hike so this adventure engagement session in Ottawa was a perfectly natural choice for this bride. I met these sweethearts at the loveliest wedding show at Temple’s Sugarbush and can not wait to photograph their wedding day this summer.

When I asked if they needed to reschedule due to the freezing rain and 15cm of snow in the forecast, she let me know they had a truck and weren’t worried… So of course we started with a little tail gate party in the parking lot!

When it really started to become an adventure engagement session….

After a quick cuddle we made the journey towards Eagle’s nest lookout for some incredibly foggy and scenic shots, my absolute fav!!

Even though hair was ruined and wine was spilled and my lens had to be cleaned every 2 minutes and we were all soaked; it was am absolutely perfect afternoon. I’m so grateful for clients who are on board with making sessions a true experience.

The combination of love, a good Ottawa adventure, and the classic beauty of film photography is something I will simply NEVER tire of…

I adore being able to work with you in a full and rewarding capacity, and urge you to reach out with all your crazy ideas and hobbies and loves and make them a part of our big day. I believe your shoot should be full of laughs and realness, let’s enjoy and appreciate together.

If you’re looking for your adventure photographer, wedding photographer, or are simply an appreciator like myself, feel free to reach out, I’d love to connect with you.
